Coaching

The JAC coaching course has 10 spaces available

                         Starting 29th April 2024

The course consists of Tuesday evening sessions but the first session will be on a Monday.

The first session will take place at the Nelson Club in Warwick on Monday April 29th 2024.  Amongst other things, students will be shown how to make their own pole rigs which they will then take forward and use in the following sessions.

The remainder of the sessions will take place on Kingfisher Pool where they are taught how to fish.

Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.  Applications will be available from Tuesday 15th March at Baileys Fishing Tackle in Warwick.  The price is £10 for the course, and all tackle is provided.

All the dates for the course are as follow:

29th April
13th May
20th May
3rd June
10th June

Please take a minute to read this as anyone caught fishing without a rod licence could be fined upto £2500.

Children under 13 do not need a licence.
Children aged between 13 and 16 are required to apply for a licence.  These are issued free of charge, but you do need to apply.
Over 65 and disabled rod licences are charged at a concessionary rate.

Rod licences can be purchased online at https://www.gov.uk/fishing-licences/buy-a-fishing-licence.  Also avaliable by calling the Environment Agency fishing licence service on 0344 800 5386.

Rod licences now run for 12 months from your date of purchase.

Regardless of which catagory you fall into, you will also need permission from the fishery owner before you can fish.  This often takes the form of a yearly membership book or a day ticket.

In the case of Kingfisher pool, you will still need our licence, avaliable at Baileys fishing tackle, in Warwick.  Our licence runs from April 1st to March 31st, and we do not operate day tickets of any kind.  The only exclusion to this, is if you are enrolled on our beginner course, or taking part in one of our own events.

Our licence enables the parent or carer of the member to fish from the same platform.  In this case, they must also hold their own rod licence.
